Elm Springs Yoga

We are excited to be joining in the wellness activities at Elm Springs Independent & Assisted Living and community of Allison, IA!

Discover the amazing benefits of Chair Yoga. Sessions begin at 8:45 and lasts until 9:45 on Fridays. This class is slow-moving and designed for mixed-level. All levels are welcome whether you are new to yoga, or have just been away from it for a while. Want to stay afoot? There is open space for that too!

Chairs & Yoga gear (mats, blocks, straps) are available for use. Please bring water 💧 to stay hydrated.

We offer authentic yoga and include breathing exercises, movement, and meditation in practices.

Greene Yoga

Join in on Yoga on Tuesdays 515-6:15 PM in the bottom floor community room at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Greene, Iowa. We will be slowga style - slow flowing gentle yoga, designed for all levels.

Please bring your own yoga gear (mat, blocks, strap(tie/scarf), blanket, eye mask) and hydration. Chairs are available. (limited studio mats, blocks, scarves, masks for share / purchase).

Please join us at the Clarksville Public Library for Adult Chair Yoga. No experience necessary! Registration is not required and no charge to attend! Sessions are announced through the Clarksville Public Library calendar and social media. Classes are normally 1 Thursday each month 9:30-10:30 am.

Mellow Mondays The Rock Wellness Center

Join us on Mellow Mondays in May for Restorative and Yin Yoga.

Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing practice using gear such as blankets, blocks, and bolsters to allow your body to be completely supported in passive poses. This allows for total relaxation and nervous system regulation. Poses are held 5-10 minutes.

Goals of Restorative Yoga are Mellowness, Rest, Recovery, & Stress Relief. Ideal for those that seek to be mellow, healing from illness, injury, or burnout….

Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that targets connective tissues through passive poses without being fully supported by tangible yoga gear. Some gear is used, however, stillness, mindfulness, and breath are the main props for Yin Yoga. Sensation is felt in the deep tissues. Stretches are held for 2-5 minutes.

Goals of Yin Yoga are Mellowness, Mobility, Flexibility, Energetic Flow, & introspection. Ideal for those with tight joints or limited flexibility, complement to Yang movement (running, weightlifting), stress, anxiety and those looking for low impact stretching.

Benny Gambaiani Chair Yoga

Please join us at the Benny Gambaini Public Library for Adult Chair Yoga. No experience necessary! Chair yoga is a gentle way to practice yoga with use of a chair. Both sitting and standing poses are available. This all accessible prop promotes mobility and balance.

Goals of Chair Yoga are increased flexibility, strength, and circulation. Yoga enhances balance and body awareness, breath work, and mindfulness.

Ideal for those with mobility challenges, recovering from injury or illness, office workers, or beginner yogis.

Sessions are announced through the Library calendar and social media.
